Sarah Bailey was born and raised in Erwin, Tennessee.  After graduating Valedictorian from Unicoi County High School she went on to attend Clemson University.  In 2004 Sarah graduated Magna Cum Laude from Clemson with a B.A. in English. She is an active member of the Erwin Kiwanis Club.

Ms. Bailey has served as Administrator of Elections for Unicoi County since November 2005 and passed the State Election Certification exam in June 2006.

The Unicoi County Election Commission administers voter registration and education, conducts local, state and federal elections and maintains financial records and personal information of political candidates.

Q: When do I have to register to be able to vote in an election?
A: Voter registration deadline is 30 days before any election.
 
Q: To register in UnicoI County, how long do I need to have lived there?
A: There is no deadline on residency. The day you move into a residence in this county you are eligible to register to vote.
 
Q: If I move to another address within Unicoi County, where do I vote on Election Day.
A: You will vote in the precinct of your NEW address. Please contact our office to find out which precinct you need to vote in.
 
Q: If I move out of Unicoi County before an election, can I still vote in Unicoi County?
A: The state allows you a 90 day grace period. If you moved within Tennessee but outside of Unicoi County 90 days or less before an election, you will be eligible to vote in Unicoi County at that election.
