|Wayne Scott Strawberry Festival|
On Saturday May 16th, the Town of Unicoi will sponsor the annual Wayne Scott’s Strawberry Festival at Unicoi Elementary. The festival will begin with a parade at 9 am down Unicoi Drive to the festival grounds on Massachusetts Avenue.
The festivities begin at 10am with an opening ceremony and will be followed by a day of fun for the entire family. The festival will have craft vendors, great food, inflatables for the kids, and music to satisfy everyone’s taste. And don’t forget, the plethora of strawberries and strawberry foods available at the festival. Scott’s Strawberries will be on hand selling their delicious strawberries while the Senior Center makes delicious strawberry deserts.
This year’s musical acts will include Daisi Rain, performance begins at 11:30, Annie Robinette, performance begins at 1:30 and Samantha Gray and The Soul Providers, performance begins at 3:30. The Gay Whitt School of dance will also be performing beginning at 10:30.
