About EMS

Unicoi County Emergency Medical Services is the primary provider of emergency medical response and ambulance transport services for Unicoi County. Established in 2020 through a collaborative partnership between Unicoi County, the Town of Erwin, and the Town of Unicoi, UCEMS is a community-based emergency service dedicated to providing compassionate, reliable, and high-quality pre-hospital care. Operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, UCEMS’ highly trained professionals respond to medical emergencies, traumatic injuries, and community needs with the goal of protecting lives and improving health outcomes throughout the region.

Beyond emergency response, UCEMS plays an active role in community preparedness, disaster response, and regional healthcare coordination. Through partnerships with local agencies, healthcare providers, and community organizations, UCEMS works to strengthen emergency readiness, improve access to care, and support the health and safety of the communities it serves.
